Notice of Temporary Traffic Control Plan

South Maple Road between West Liberty Street and Scio Church Road

Monday, Jan. 10 9AM - Friday Jan 21st 5PM



Location and Limits of Affected Area:

South Maple Road between West Liberty Street and Scio Church Road.


Description of Work:

CI Contracting will be occupying the South Maple Road and Pauline Boulevard intersection to install utilities for a new development. Construction will take place between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. during the work week. The full road closure will be in place 24 hours a day until road restoration is completed.


Temporary Traffic Control Plan:

Beginning 9 a.m. Monday, Jan. 10, northbound traffic will be detoured east on Scio Church Road to South Seventh Street, then north on South Seventh Street, then west on West Stadium Boulevard, then west on West Liberty Street back to South Maple Road. Southbound traffic will be detoured east on West Liberty Street, then east on West Stadium Boulevard, then south on South Seventh Street, then west on Scio Church Road back to South Maple Road. Westbound Pauline Boulevard traffic will be detoured to West Stadium Boulevard to use either the northbound or southbound posted South Maple Road detour. Local access will be maintained between the detour and full road closure areas along South Maple Road for residential and business access. Pedestrian traffic will be maintained on the east side of South Maple Road. Emergency vehicles are advised to follow the posted detour route.


For the safety of all, please reduce speeds and drive cautiously through the detour route. The city thanks motorists in advance for their patience.
