I write a City Council newsletter with my summary of agenda items coming before City Council. Sign up to receive it first via email, or read it here later on this blog.
I post charts of how Council voted after each meeting, and also post my perspectives on how issues were resolved. I post news that affects Ward 4 residents tagged with "Ward 4 News", with construction updates also tagged "Construction 2021". News that affects all city residents is tagged with "City News".

Maywood Ave Construction Update June 6th

The following update was emailed on June 6, 2019 by Tesha Humphriss, Project Manager for the City of Ann Arbor. For any questions or concerns with this project (or to be added to her email list of construction updates), she can be contacted at 734-794-6410 ext. 43672, or at thumphriss@a2gov.org

The water main work began earlier this week and is progressing along Maywood from Stadium towards Avondale.  The water main work will continue on Maywood this week and next week, with water main work on Avondale to immediately follow.  The water main on Avondale will be installed from Maywood to just west of Mershon.  When the water main installation work is complete the contractor will begin storm sewer improvements on Maywood Avenue.

Since we were able to start a little early (May 29th instead of June 3rd), and with the weather cooperating (no full rain days), we are currently a little ahead of schedule.  There is still a lot of utility work to be completed, and the production per day will slow down when we get to Avondale, but overall we are off to a good start!
