COVID Emergency Rental Assistance

Anyone who is behind on rent or concerned they will be behind on rent should apply here for COVID Emergency Rental assistance:

Your application creates a 45 day automatic stay on court proceedings, to provide time for assigning and processing the application. In order to receive financial help, you are advised to remain in the rental unit. This program is meant to help people maintain the housing they currently occupy or support relocation, as needed.

If you do get notice of a court date be sure to attend. Legal Services has been attending most landlord/tenant dockets. When tenants appear, Legal Services can often work with the judge to delay the writ of eviction and allow more time for pending CERA cases.
