I ran for city council because I believe I will be a strong voice for Ward 4.  Our city government is largely run by administrators, supported by appointed (but unelected) commissions and committees. Policy recommendations make their final stop at city council and it’s important to me that these policies include as much public input as possible along the way.

I am grateful to the residents of Ward 4 who helped me win the Democratic primary in August 2018, and the general election in November 2018.  I actively sought out the endorsements of both Mayor Christopher Taylor and Council Member Jack Eaton, and they supported me in my campaign. I believe our city government will function better if we can find common ground among different perspectives.  I look forward to working collaboratively with the rest of city council and our city staff.

As residents, we need constructive discussion and debate from members on council.  This is our primary representation.

I have been listening to the concerns of Ward 4 residents and I have heard the same themes again and again.  This is where I stand:

AFFORDABILITY

Socio-economic diversity in our town is not just a community goal, it is an asset.
